Registering debt, equity and derivatives offers

You'll have 120 days to complete your application once you start

Debt and equity securities, and derivatives are types of financial products and can be offered to investors at different times with different terms and conditions.

Who can register an offer

To register debt and equity securities, and derivatives offers you must:

  • have a RealMe® login
  • be a registered user of your organisation's online services account
  • have authority to act.

Before you begin your application

Make sure you have all the information and documents you'll need to complete your online application.

Participant details

All participants in the offer must exist on another register or directory.

Some participants to an offer will need to be registered as a Financial Service Provider (FSP) . FSPs who provide certain financial services also need to be licensed .

Register debt and equity securities, and derivatives offers

To start an application, log in to your organisation's online services account and follow these steps.

  1. Select the 'Register' tab.
  2. Complete the online form.
  3. Upload your documents for the offer.
  4. On the 'Review' screen check that your application is correct and complete and select 'Submit'.
  5. Pay the registration fee (if applicable).
  6. Select 'Continue' on the payment screen to send your application to us for acceptance.

You'll receive confirmation onscreen that your application has been sent.

Closed debt securities

If you're transitioning a closed debt security under Clause 21 of Schedule 4 of the Financial Markets Conduct Act 2013, you'll need to lodge certain information, such as a trust deed, with us and the Financial Markets Authority. Email the information to us so we can update the issuer's registration on the Companies Register.

Extending an offer into Australia

If you're extending your offer into Australia under the Financial Market Conduct Regulations 2014, you'll be required to provide us with a notice of intention.
